DBR0130000006720 - Closer Door Concealed No.AT1B (£1.58 each) The octagonal tube is 140mm x 22mm, requiring a 150mm x 25mm diameter hole to be drilled through the inner edge of the door's hanging stile. The brass anchor plate and brass face plate are both 25mm x 50mm. The Apollo is normally acceptable for use on half hour fire check doors. The Apollo is not suitable for use on doors fitted with rising butts, falling butts or Parliament hinges. |
'APOLLO' CONCEALED DOOR CLOSER The Apollo door closer is designed for use on light or medium weight internal timber doors, up to 50kg in weight. The tension on the spring in the closer can be adjusted to provide the required closing force for a particular door, but for doors weighing more than 50kg, for glazed timber framed doors, or where a more positive faster closing action is desirable, it is recommended that two closers be fitted. The unit consists of a 140mm long octagonal steel tube attached to a brass faceplate which is mortisised into the door hanging style. A spring is contained within the steel tube. A screw threaded plate attached by a flat link chain and brass plate to the door jamb, compresses the spring as the door is opened. Eight brass screws are provided. |
